Zoe Ní Riordáin
Recently, Everything I Do premiered at Dublin Fringe Festival ‘18, written and performed by Zoe Ní Riordáin, directed by Maud Lee. It was commissioned by Project Arts Centre and developed at LaMaMa International Residency in Umbria, Italy and MAKE artist residency. Winner of Best Performer Award (Zoe Ní Riordáin) and nominated for Best Production.
Zoe wrote and directed Recovery: a live concept album (Project Arts Centre in April ‘16, LIVE COLLISION Festival Dec ’17, Centre Culturel Irlandais,Dec ’17, National Tour Nov. ’18). Winner of Romilly Walton Masters Award for experimental theatre.
She was selected for MAKE artist residency at Tyrone Guthrie Centre March 2015 and 2018 mentored by PEACHES, Justin Vivian Bond, Brett Bailey and Ragnheidur Skuladottir.
She wrote and directed The Well Rested Terrorist (Peacock Theatre, Dublin Fringe Festival ‘14, nominated Best Ensemble award). Other directing credits include; European premiere of Toshiki Okada’s ENJOY (Project Arts Centre, Dec ‘15), The Lesson by Eugene Ionesco (Project Arts Centre, May ‘13). After The End by Dennis Kelly (BAC, London, ‘10), Exit The King by Ionesco (Samuel Beckett Theatre).
Zoe is a founder member of contemporary electro-pop band Maud in Cahoots. She performed live cello in Dusk Ahead by Junk Ensemble (Dublin Theatre Festival, Kilkenny Arts Festival). She toured with the Brokentalkers production of Silver Stars by Sean Millar (New York, Paris, Auckland 2009/10). Associate artist of Project Arts Centre Dublin and Pan Pan Theatre. Awards include Arts Council Theatre Bursary ’18, Dublin City Council Arts Grant ’18, Arts Council development grant award for EIST LIOM ’18.
